Volkswagen has a festive reason to celebrate in style across Kerala, the God’s own country in India. The German auto major which dubs itself as Europe’s largest car maker made a record delivery of 148 cars across the Kerala State on the first day of the month of Chingam (August 17, 2016), which marks beginning of Malayalam new year.

Volkswagen claims this is one of the highest deliveries reported from Kerala in a single day. There is another accomplishment as well in this feat. Volkswagen Kochi, the carmaker’s dealership in Kochi, handed over 40 cars in one day, marking the highest ever bulk delivery done from a single outlet in Kerala on a single day.

Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, is in a celebratory mood and has this to say: “Kerala continues to be an important market for Volkswagen and the custom of celebrating the festive season in a unique way further motivates us to make great effort towards enhancing customer delight”.
